Pomegranate

A  pomegranate tree grows outside my window. Every day the sun touches its leaves. The small orbs turn from green, to yellow, to red. I see a metamorphosis, sweet candy from the earth. I wonder, when will I be able to pick the fruit? How lovely, a day spent sucking upon this treat, leaving a trail of nothing but seeds…
